Then I can read them, make a judgement, and either run them or the Dragon of Icespire Peak. If I don't run them now, I'm sure I'll get to run them for adults some time in the future, so its a safe purchase.
And if I do run them, and they go down well I'll be back for the second Arc. Thank you. Just a quick update. CCC-WWC was brilliant and proved perfect for three 9 year olds and 1 adults on their first game the other two parents chose not to play. They started to switch off during the intro not really caring why they were going on a quest, but parts 2 to 4 had them enthralled.
The puzzle proved a little difficult for the 9 year olds and the we had to hint quite heavily and were just about to give up and just have the adults player solve it when one of the kids got lucky. I was concerned about the difficulty - four 1st level characters is at the bottom end of very weak. As it turned out they had almost no difficulty at all, possibly because they had two capable healers.
The nine year olds used clever tactics in the fights particularly part 3 and separated off groups of enemies isolating them. Keeping this spoiler free, the one danger point was the final encounter chapter 4 where the enemy opened the fight by dropping the barbarian to within 2 points of a massive damage death. See more sure how a nine year old would have taken that. Moments later and one healing word and he was back in the fight. Overall, perfect adventure for nine year olds.
Dark Waters of Hate next week Thank you. A wonderful start to a great series. Great for Adventure's League. I've ran this with several first time players with a few significant tweaks to make the thingamajig goober obtaining more challenging and they loved it.
Just ran this yesterday. Lots of fun. Easy to run too! Minimal prep time, and everyone had a blast. Short version is this It was an excellent adventure and fit the time just right. I especially liked the xvart encounter, as it was full of a lot of possibilities.
Tempted to say that the goblin encounter is a bit weak, since it can be evaded, and it feels like a day's worth of time can be obviated. I ended up putting in an alternate encounter to make up for the players skipping the goblin one.
But seriously, a great AL adventure. First one ever for me, and it was lots of fun! Very Interesting premise and story and great layout and proofreading in this one. I did have a issue with some of the content which Ive included in my review. Hey Dave, I really enjoyed this a lot. Both played and DMed. If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to provide it to you so you can include it with the purchase for other players. Thanks, James! I'm glad you enjoyed the adventure!

The combats themselves have some nice variety to them I like the use of the archers in [ Karen M. This was my first mod to DM, other than for a DM workshop, so I'm not familiar with how others are set up, but the layout made it very easy to prep and run, and I liked that tactics were given for each group of enemies.
My table chose to run from the [ Doug P. Part 1 in a 3 part series. I had just 30 minutes to prep and the adventure was easy to run for the table. Finished in around 3 hours with some roleplay. Fun combat and interesting adventure.
